The Topic Round UpâŚ
Part One: Simplifying the GTD Method.
As a solopreneur juggling family life with building a business, the GTD method isnât always the easiest of things to implement even though it offers the most gains. So I devised a simplified version - introducing The LTP Method, a streamlined system for logging and categorizing incomplete tasks, projects, to-dos, and more.
Simplify your task and project planning here.
Part Two: Energy Tagging To-Dos.
The problem I find when working through my to-do list using the top-down method is it doesnât account for me having the time or energy in one day to complete the tasks in running order. An alternative Iâve tested is planning my to-do list based on energy levels so I can be more realistic with my time and better plan productivity. In this episode I covered three tips that really helped me get stuff done and feel productive without punishing myself.
Part Three: Using Time Containers for Tasks.
In the third episode for the month we added another tool to our productivity kit, by learning how to use Parkinsonâs Law to feel more motivated to conquer the looming to-do list, because making tasks time-bound greatly increases the chances of getting stuff done.
Add this tool to your kit here.
Part Four: Putting First Things First.
And finally in last episode for the month we took a moment to understand the difference between important versus urgent when it comes to getting stuff done, and why it isnât necessarily a binary definition of one or the other but rather a multidimensional matrix. We also covered how we distinguish between the quadrants of the matrix, as well as how we can use it to reality check our to-do lists and tasks.
Learn how to put first things first here.
Until next time Planner Friend remember: getting stuff done is not about hacks but all about using the right tools!
