Help! Which book shall we take action on next?
They both sound so good, I simply can't make the choice without your help.
I have two epic titles to pick from, both authored by Benjamin P. Hardy.
I haven't read or listened to either yet, but I'm familiar with Benjamin Hardy's work from YouTube and my research on Greg McKeown's work - I’d listened to a podcast episode where McKeown interviewed Hardy and that’s where I first heard about Hardy’s concept of “the gap and the gain”.
Why did I pick these?
Well, with the infamous “New Year’s Resolution” day fast approaching I figured these could be edifying.
But why wait to a once a year date to resolve to make a change? We can start whenever we choose, so why not NOW!
Here’s a brief round up of each, with a poll at the bottom…
P.S. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read or followed any of Hardy’s work!
P.P.S Don’t forget to vote, poll closes 3 days from now 😉
Personality Isn't Permanent: Break Free from Self-Limiting Beliefs and Rewrite Your Story
By Dr Benjamin P. Hardy
Summary: This book challenges the common belief that personality is innate and unchanging. Instead, Hardy argues that individuals can intentionally create their desired selves and achieve their goals. The book offers strategies for personal transformation, such as reframing past experiences, designing your current identity based on your future self, and using “pull motivation.” It includes stories of individuals who have successfully transformed their lives.
Most highlighted Kindle quote:
“This is how successful people live: They become who they want to be by orienting their life toward their goals, not as a repeat of the past; by acting bravely as their future selves, not by perpetuating who they formerly were.”

The Gap and The Gain: The High Achievers' Guide to Happiness, Confidence, and Success
By Dr Benjamin P. Hardy & Dan Sullivan
Summary: In this book the authors discuss the concept that successful people focus on their gains rather than the gap between their current state and their ideals. This mindset shift, measuring progress against one's previous self rather than an unreachable ideal, can lead to increased happiness, confidence, motivation, and future success.
Most highlighted Kindle quote:
“You’re in the GAP every time you measure yourself or your situation against an ideal.”
